How Submitting a Website to Bing Unlocked a New Stream of Missed Traffic
Client Overview
- Client: Fresh Nest Cleaning Services
- Location: Denver, Colorado, USA
- Industry: Residential & Commercial Cleaning
The Challenge
Fresh Nest Cleaning Services had a well-designed website and had started getting organic traffic from Google. But after checking their data, I noticed they were missing out on a major opportunity Bing Search.
They were getting little to no traffic from Google, Bing or Yahoo, despite Bing being the default search engine on many Microsoft devices and browsers in the U.S.
After a quick check, I found the root issue: Their website wasn’t even submitted to Bing and had zero indexed pages.
The Objective Get the site indexed and properly optimized in Bing Search to capture untapped organic traffic and increase local visibility.
What I Did
1. Setup Bing Webmaster Tools: I registered and verified the website in Bing Webmaster Tools to:
- Submit the sitemap
- Check indexing status
- Monitor any crawl issues
2. Submitted the Sitemap Manually: I uploaded their sitemap directly to Bing to make sure all pages would be crawled and recognized properly.
3. Fixed Indexing Issues: Since Bing had never crawled the site, I manually submitted priority pages and made some technical adjustments, like:
- Adding missing meta tags
- Ensuring proper canonical URLs
- Applying structured data (schema) for local business
4. On-Page Optimization: Bing values exact-match keywords and a clean structure more than Google in some cases. So I:
- Optimized title tags with target keywords
- Improved H1-H2 usage for content clarity
- Focused on easy-to-read copy with location mentions
5. Setup Bing Places for Business: I also created a Bing Places profile, so Fresh Nest could appear in Bing Maps and local results. This added another local signal for better exposure in nearby searches.
The Results
| Metric | Before Submission | After 30 Days |
|---|---|---|
| Bing Organic Traffic | 2–5 visits/month | 700+ visits/month |
| Indexed Pages on Bing | 0 | 20+ pages indexed |
| Bing Keyword Impressions | N/A | 2,400+ |
| New Lead Source (Bing) | None | 4 phone inquiries in 1st month |
| Bing Places Visibility | Not listed | Appeared for “cleaning service Denver” |
Business Impact
Before my help, this business was completely invisible on Bing. By doing something as simple as submitting the site and optimizing it correctly, I opened up a new, untapped traffic channel.

Today, Bing brings in over 700 monthly visitors and that number is growing. The site is now visible across multiple search engines, not just Google.
What the Client Said
“I had no idea people even used Bing. After your work, I started getting calls from places I wasn’t even advertising in. Thanks for catching this!”
Note from SEO Vizon
Many business owners focus only on Google but Bing powers millions of searches every day. If your site isn’t indexed there, you’re leaving traffic (and leads) on the table. Sometimes, the smallest steps can unlock real results if you know where to look.
